黃水晶Citrine 源於法語Citron檸檬  拉丁語Citrina，淡黃色的柑橘色。由熔融的岩漿或由通過沉澱沉積的岩石中的礦物質溶液形成。當石英在富含鐵元素的環境中結晶，並受到附近放射性礦物影響時，就會產生 淡黃色、金黃色到蜂蜜色，甚至近乎棕色，有時內部可能包含虹彩或閃光包裹體。

盧埃納蜂蜜黃水晶Lwena/Luena Citrine也被稱為昆達里尼黃水晶。礦產於剛果民主共和國上洛馬米省盧埃納鎮附近。在這個區域，可以發現單獨的晶體，也能看到層疊狀的晶簇，在主晶柱基座周圍，有較小晶體的水晶簇。這些水晶主要來自當地居民採集，採礦技術較為原始，標本經常會有一定的損傷，且供應不穩定。
